Dan Grading Overview

1st Dan Gradings

Once students reach 1st kyu (brown double stripe) they must then wait a minimum of 1 year and fully complete their grading attendance card + extra requirements on the card.

During this year it is advisable to take a mock grading

Once all the requirements have been met, students eligible to grade will be assessed by Sensei Griffiths. If she agrees the student has achieved a level to attempt their 1st dan grading they will be issed with a letter approx 1 month before the grading date. Dan gradings are by invitation only.
